Stress & Your Solar Plexus

As a Reiki practitioner you tend to help clients that have imbalances that reflect your own imbalances you have either overcome, or are working on healing. This is absolutely true for me. I love being able to help people by not only directing healing energy their way, but also being able to relate to them on a deeper level; thus sending healing energy with intention.

As of late, my clients have shown great imbalance in their Solar Plexus Chakra.

I feel that this is a chakra most humans struggle with, as we are bombarded with stress on a daily basis.

We tend to hold our anxieties, fears, and tension in our Solar Plexus, also called our Manipura Chakra.

When we are too stressed, nervous, or afraid consistently we tend to start to physically suffer from it by experiencing some of the following…

  • Headaches
  • Panic Attacks
  • Inability to take a full breath
  • Insomnia
  • Aching lower back, shoulders and neck
  • Stomach Ulcers
  • Indigestion
  • Hormonal Imbalances
  • Sex drive decreases

 …to name a few.

If you find yourself suffering from any of the above, incorporating some of the following can help you reconfigure this Chakra…

  • Bubble Baths
  • Going for a walk outside
  • Meditating
  • Yoga Classes
  • Regular Reiki Sessions
  • Getting a massage
  • Exploring a new craft or hobby that brings you joy
  • Sitting in silence (that means no phone, no music, no TV, nothing. Try it 🙂 )
  • Filling your body with healthy foods associated with this chakra
  • Aromatherapy or topical use of essential oils

…the list could go on.

Below is a chart that will break down what is affected by the Solar Plexus, and examples of easy things you can incorporate to begin your journey to balance this Chakra.

If you are suffering from stress or anxiety on any level, I seriously urge you to give some of these methods a try.

Taking action is important for your ultimate quality of life, and who doesn’t want to be happy in the life they are leading?
